Cloud Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently working with a well-known consultancy who are looking for a Lead Cloud architect to join their architecture team on a 6-month contract.
 
You will collaborate with other teams on taking our data platform to the next level and build analytic and business insight capabilities to empower associates with the right information at the right time for their data-driven decisions.
 
** Outside IR35 // £550 - £600 P/D **
** 6-Month contract with view to extend **
** Fully Remote // No Office Requirement **
 
Cloud Engineer – Main Responsibilities:

• Engage in proof-of-concept projects proving the use of AWS services to support new data processing solutions.
• Proactively and continuously review our architecture and identify opportunities for the use of innovative technology
• Identify options for how to best design our data solutions with performance, data quality, cost control, ease of maintenance in mind
• Ensure that data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, reliable and well organized.
• Design data processing pipelines and workflows to support data democratisation.

Cloud Engineer – Essential: 

• Strong working knowledge across a broad set of AWS technologies and related security principles.
• Extensive working experience with Azure
• Experience of working in an Architecture role, preferably with focus on Enterprise Infrastructure / Cloud Architecture.
• Proven ability to operate effectively with other functions and external teams
• A strong technical background

Cloud Engineer – Desirable:

• Previous experience in a Consultancy
