Description

Marcus Donald are working with a leading Global Financial Services firm, popular for their outstanding & award winning online trading platform. The client are looking to innovate the traditional finance space with a new completely disintermediated platform for saving and investing so there is opportunity for multiple Senior Python Developers to join the team!
 
The ideal candidate will possess experience working within the FS/Trading/Banking sector and have a wealth of experience with Django or Flask web frameworks.
 
Location: FULLY REMOTE (100%)
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum + great benefits
 
Senior Python Developer – Responsibilities:
 

  • Collaborate with product owners, designers and other developers to build a best-in-class experience for our customers
  • Write effective, scalable code
  • Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
  • Integrate user-facing elements into the application
  • Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems for our customers

 
Senior Python Developer – Requirements:
 

  • Knowledge of Python and the Pythonic way of solving problems
  • 3+ years commercial experience using Python
  • Understanding of test-driven development (TDD), and desire to write tests
  • Broad understanding of the concept of minimum viable product and conversion rates
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with either Django or Flask frameworks

 
Senior Python Developer – Desirable:
 

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design principles
  • Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
