Junior Developer

Marcus Donald is currently looking for a Junior Developer to join a large retail company, this someone needs to be motivated and ready for on coming challenges.

* 6 months contract – £400 - £500 Outside IR35 *
** Based in London, fully remote role** 

You will need to be comfortable working in busy, dynamic, fast-paced, flexible organisation and as such will need to thrive in such situations.
You as an individual will have ethe opportunity to learn new skills like, Java, Python, C# or C++, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Google cloud platform, Apache Camel, Kafka, COBOL.

Junior Developer Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications
• Analysis of technical requirements and writing technical documentation
• Solution analysis and design, creating task breakdown and planning.
• Ensuring that all development adheres to defined coding standards/guidelines
• Monitoring the application support queue, and responding to assigned support requests
• Reporting progress to the Development Lead and/or mentor

Junior Developer Skills:

• 2 – 3 years of programming experience in a structured programming language(s)
• Analytical and detailed approach to problem-solving
• Keen to learn new technologies
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritise, organise, and manage own workload with minimal supervision
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
