Windows Server Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently looking to recruit a Windows Server Engineer for a large consultancy to work within an established team of London-based engineers responsible for both server and storage infrastructure.
 
** 6-month contract Inside IR35**
** Hybrid – 2/3 days a week in a London-based office**
 
You will be responsible for the provision, management, and optimisation of many technologies.
 
Windows Server Engineer – Main Responsibilities:

• Complete project-based work
• Produce and maintain repeatable secure configurations and monitor compliance against standards
• Manage BAU workload of service requests, problems, incidents, and changes
• Perform in-depth investigation required to resolve technical issues, liaising with vendors where required
• Provide regular communication to management regarding system availability, capacity, performance, operational issues, and planned works

Windows Server Engineer – Essential:

• Previous experience in a consultancy
• 4+ years in a Windows related role
• Enterprise scale expertise of Windows Server and SCCM
• Windows File Server
• Active Directory
• Experience with virtual server platforms, ideally VMWare and Nutanix

This is a really great opportunity for a contractor who is looking for something a bit more long-term as there is a high probability the contract will be extended after the original 6 months.
