Senior Network & Security Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently recruiting for a Senior Network & Security Engineer for a multi-award winning Managed Service Provider. This role falls within the Professional Services team delivering customer-facing technical solutions, primarily Checkpoint.

The successful candidate will be providing technical expertise throughout the complete cycle of the professional services engagements, presales, design & implementation.

This role will involve occasionally meeting and travelling to client sites across the UK. 

Location: Fully Remote (unless required to travel to client site)
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum
 
Senior Network & Security Engineer – Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and configuring network solutions
• Expertise in a range of other security products
• Focused on delivering, implementing, and troubleshooting Checkpoint products for a range of customers
• Providing specialist guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues to ensure the continued growth and development of the team

Senior Network & Security Engineer – Requirements:

• Exceptional understanding of Checkpoint products and solutions
• Relevant certifications including CCSA, CCSE or CCSM
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure (routing, switching, load balancing) and security products (firewall, VPN, IPS, Anti-Virus, Application Control)
• Strong people and stakeholder skills and collaborative in approach and able to operate independently

Senior Network & Security Engineer – Desired:

• Experience with Fortinet – FortiGates/FortiSwitch/FortiAP
