Description

Marcus Donald is so excited to offer this Information Governance Manager role for a Global Education Corporation. Head Office located in London however, primarily remote. You will lead and support the development of policies and guidelines that will uphold how the business, its suppliers, partners and those handling its data do so in ways that meet their operational, legal and regulatory requirements, whilst also monitoring, reducing and managing risk.
 
*Hybrid Working 1-2 days per week in London*
**Competitive salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 + flattering benefits package**

 
Information Governance Manager – Responsibilities;

  • Provide a key service to project and business teams to implement and action the necessary Information Security & Data Privacy protocols
  • Ensure that a change is compliant with Group security and data privacy requirements and the liabilities to customers, third parties and regulators are effectively managed
  • Support the implementation of our data strategy and governance through our data change control group, the Data Change Board (DCB)
  • Complete (or support the completion of) the Information Security & Data Privacy (IS&DP) documentation
  • Define and manage processes to monitor internal and external data change ensuring it aligns with data policies and processes and meets regulatory requirements and obligations under the UK GDPR and other data protection law
  • Undertake focussed data quality initiatives to clean and improve data to ensure our data provides reliable and robust information.
  • Work closely with the Information Security and Data Privacy team to roll out the Information Management System and train Skills Credentialing teams to prepare and maintain the ROPA.

Information Governance Manager – Required;

  • Substantial experience in a similar compliance or data governance role with proven ability to build and maintain a compliance capability
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience in preparing for, achieving and maintaining ISO accreditation (ISO 27001, ISO 9001, etc)
  • Credibility and ability to influence senior stakeholders, including at board level
  • Experience of driving towards a culture where data governance is embedded into every data process
  • Successfully maintained accreditation for systems and processes (ISO, Cyber Essentials Plus, etc)

 This is a great opportunity to work within an Information Governance team, supporting IAOs and reporting to the Data Strategy manager.
