Data Protection Officer – Retail

Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Data Protection Officer for a Retail Firm, therefore we are ideally looking for an experienced Data Protection professional (contractor) on an initial 6-month contract with a view to extend (6 month rolling).

Data Protection Officer – Responsibilities:

• Owning and managing the Data Protection Framework across the whole company
• Ensuring the Data Protection Framework with Data Protection regulations, including GDPR and DPA
• Managing the key deliverables, including Data Protection Compliance Monitoring Plan, ROPAs, DPIAs and Data Protection Breaches Register
• To work cohesively with all departments to ensure a swift and smooth response to all GDPR requests
• Carrying out internal data protection and information security audits

Data Protection Officer – Required:

• Strong relevant in-depth knowledge and understanding of Data Protection laws within the UK and Europe
• A solid understanding of GDPR
• 4 years’ experience within Data Protection specific roles
• Working knowledge of ISO27001

Data Protection Officer – Desired:
 

• Data Protection qualifications e.g, CIPP, CIPM, CIPP/E

You will be joining a team with multiple experienced contractors that have been with the business for a long time (in rolling contractors) therefore, there is a lot of future potential for a long-term contract for the right person.
