Marcus Donald are in search for a Senior Data Engineer, a Data SME who has very good experience in coding Python. We are working on behalf of a leading Financial Organisation however, previous experience within the Financial sector isn’t necessary.

**100% Remote – Full home-based position**

This is a really exciting role for a Senior Python Data Engineer due to the immediate Team Lead responsibilities and growth available. You will be the go to point for python development best practices so confidence in your own knowledge is vital here.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define dashboards and follow through on the dataset implementations and delivery.

Senior Data Engineer (Python) – Responsibilities: 

• Maintain python scripts for diverse financial reporting needs
• Setup and maintain a Data pipeline with Airflow for intra-day reporting
• Contribute to the definition of data quality metrics
• Liaise with DevOps engineers for infrastructure configuration
• Contribute actively to the definition of data quality metrics across different data-sets
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define dashboards and follow through on the dataset implementations and delivery
• Supervise and contribute to the setup of intra-day financial reporting facilities

Senior Data Engineer (Python) – Technical Requirements:

• Fluency in Python
• Experience with Airflow deployments and management
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience writing complex queries against Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Docker, container services like Kubernetes

Senior Data Engineer (Python) – Desirable Technical Requirements:

• Experience with stream-processing systems such as; Kafka, NiFi/StreamSets
