Senior Systems Administrator

Marcus Donald and I are looking to speak to experienced Senior Systems Administrator who is able to work in highly Agile environment. We are working with a well-known Media company who are looking to bring in an additional member of staff into their London team due to exciting growth plans.

They currently have offices based in Central London, with you being required in the office 3 days per week, so 2 days working from home.

Senior Systems Administrator – Responsibilities

• Maintaining integrity of the network, servers, and workstation deployment in a Linux/Unix/Windows/MacOS environment
• Developing and supporting VMs, system imaging and centralised config management systems and systems development
• Keeping a constant eye on security
• Work alongside and support the global development team
• Share knowledge and help develop the skills of others across the business

Senior Systems Administrator – Essential:

• A broad experience base and hands on approach is preferred, with solid system administration fundamentals
• Proven track record of resolving basic issues associated with systems configuration management
• Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems
• DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Authentication
• AD configuration management and integration
• Deployment infrastructure knowledge, such as docker and docker-compose on VMware (vSphere), AWS, Azure. Using Git CI/CD
• Agile knowledge

Senior Systems Administrator – Desirable:

• Knowledge of IP Switches, Routers and Firewalls
• Configuration management using Salt stack
• Experience running webservers, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), MQ (RabbitMQ)
