Description
Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a private Education organization in South Yorkshire.
You will be working remotely for now; however, they would like to know that a future employee would be able to commute into the office when/if needed. With the office being in South Yorkshire, naturally, living within a commutable distance to South Yorkshire would be ideal. Being willing to commute into the office at least 2 days per week will be expected.
There will also be travel expected across England to different offices (5%-10% annual travel).
Desktop Support Engineer – Benefits:
- 6% Pension Scheme + You can put up to 10% towards this as well.

Desktop Support Engineer – Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the business, across multiple locations
- Use and support of Microsoft Windows 1
- Use and support of Windows Server 2012 R2 – 2019
- Experience of Active Directory and Group Policy as well as DNS and DHCP
- Experience and understanding of network routing and troubleshooting of network problems.
- Office365 and Azure management
Desktop Support Engineer – Desired:
- Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V
- Working knowledge of Cisco networking devices
- Experience with IT standards such as ITIL and service management
- Understanding of PowerShell scripting and automation
