Data Protection Officer

Data Protection Officer:

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Data Protection Officer who is looking to be a part of a fast-paced environment and looking for that next challenge within their career. They are currently in the market for a Data Protection Officer to work for a high-end e-commerce retailer.

Within this role, you will be providing first-line support and advice to the rest of the company to make sure it meets its legal and regulatory requirements regarding data protection. You must be confident communicating both in a technical and non-technical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• The creation and ownership of data privacy documentation to support all the associated processes and procedures.
• Raise awareness of data protection across the entire business.
• Support the management of GRC initiated projects.
• Managing and conducting ongoing reviews of the Firm’s privacy governance framework
• Monitoring changes to local privacy laws and making recommendations.

 Knowledge Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of GDPR / GRC
• Computer applications to an intermediate level (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc)
• knowledge of Risks management and how to combat them.
• Expertise in the data protection act

 Skills Requirements:

• Excellent organisational, communication, managerial, project management, and administrative skills.
• Attention to detail and strong follow-through.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritise and resolve issues promptly and effectively in a commercial and practical manner.
• Describing technical solutions to non-technical people.
• Confident team player with a proactive attitude and a focus on delivery and strong communication

Being a Data Protection Officer, the job role may come with bonuses. Such as 25 days holiday per annum, excluding bank holidays, and private medical care with days off sick pay throughout the year.
