Description

Marcus Donald are currently looking for an IT Support Engineer for a popular NFP organisation.

This is a 90-95% remote working opportunity as you'll only be required to commute to the office (London or Hertfordshire) on average twice per month at the moment, allowing for a lot of home working and flexibility. Once life begins to get back to normal you will be expected to work at least ONE day per week from their Tech office in Hertfordshire.
 
The successful Information Technology Support Engineer's main responsibilities will be to generate and run reports using Power BI while also being able to verbalise your findings to stakeholders to allow them to come up with solutions based on your reports. PowerBI experience is NOT neccessary.

IT Support Engineer – Main responsibilities:

  • Provide the 1st and 2nd Line Support (Eclipse Case Management)
  • Use Power BI to run reports and generate dashboards through running the reports for increased visualization
  • Verbalise with stakeholders your findings from your reports to allow them to figure out solutions based on your findings
  • Explore and conduct tests based on newly developed enhancements implemented by the 3rd party, for example making sure all the buttons/links work throughout.
  • Support the new system being implemented eclipse (Eclipse Case Management)
  • Work with stakeholders to provide the efficient, effective, and innovative use of IT within their functions to improve the outcomes for children and young people

IT Support Engineer – Essentials:

  • Experience in providing 1st / 2nd line support to users
  • Analytical mindset & the ability to run reports on and log your findings
  • Either PowerBI or Excel knowledge (Excel - Create Pivot Tables and/or reports to provide detail analysis of data
  • Proven experience in proactively analysing reporting requirements and producing deliverables
  • Have good communication skills, both oral and verbal.
  • Experience in using Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work to a deadline with efficiency
  • Experience managing stakeholders
  • Previous experience in extracting data and data analytics.

IT Support Engineer – Desirables:

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security and GDPR and the impact on service user systems (training will be provided on this)
  • Knowledge and experience using the new system Eclipse (training will be provided on this)
