IT Programme Manager

Marcus Donald are currently looking to identify an experienced IT Programme Manager to join a popular NFP Organisation.

This is a 90-95% remote working opportunity as you'll only be required to commute to the office (London or Hertfordshire) on average twice per month, allowing for a lot of home working and flexibility.

The ideal experience will be towards successful management and delivery of one or more programmes to support achievement of strategic objectives using the latest programme and project management methodologies. You will be heavily involved with a large digital transformation strategy that involves an implementation of a new (consolidated) SAAS HR and Finance system using either; Oracle, Workday, Dynamics – Decision will be made by Christmas 2021.

The digital transformation includes other Tech related projects and programmes as it is a busy time for the business!

IT Programme Manager – Responsibilities:

• Good oral and written communication skills, ability to create engaging material to support active project management including stakeholder engagement
• Delivery of one or more of the strategic programmes to support Action for Children achieving its strategic objectives, on time and to budget, using the recognised MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) methodology.
• Source, negotiate with, select, engage, and then monitor the performance of consultants and external suppliers engaged in projects and initiatives to support the delivery of the programme.
• Line management of one or more project managers, providing supervision and guidance in the application of PRINCE2 and/or Agile methodologies to support the successful delivery of their project(s).
• Budget and resource forecasting and management for each project or programme where required.

IT Programme Manager – Technical requirements:

• Programme management qualification such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) required.
• Project Management qualified such as IS Project Management (Higher Level), MAPM - Member of the Association for Project Management, PMP - Project Management Professional, Practitioner Certificate in PRINCE2, Chartered IT Professional (CITP), SCRUM Master, PMI ACP, APMG AgilePM
