Description
Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a Professional Services business with over 5000 employees, covering 4 continents, with over 60 offices in 25 countries! An amazing company to work for, who already have a full functioning, innovative and ambitious Cyber Security and Information Security team at the heart of the company!
My client is offering a flexible WFH situation potentially only coming into the office once a week or once every two weeks, solely depending on how independent an individual can work. Some of the team members are based in different countries and this plays into the communication factor. So if you are someone who is keen on working remotely a little more nowadays, this is perfect!
With 3 main verticals within Cyber and InfoSec (albeit multiple pillars under each vertical), you will be joining the Security Engineering team (team of 4 – 2 in US, 2 in UK). A team with 3 main purposes:
- Support the SOC (x7 SOC Analyst) – Ensure the team have the tools and availability to provide expert support, when required. You will not have SOC responsibilities.
- Project Involvement – For example, an implementation of a new Email Gateway is upcoming.
- Provide Vendor Support to GRC team – Be influential in what new Cyber Security tools and partnerships are implemented and act as a technical source when guidance is required.
Core Qualifications – Cyber Security Engineer:
- Ideal experience: 2-3 years within a SOC and then 2-3 years working within a Cyber Security Engineering position
- Have strong technical knowledge across various Security Engineering pillars
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Security
- Very good knowledge of Network and Endpoint Security
- Email Security (Mimecast/Proofpoint Email security gateways, DMARC/DKIM/SPF).
- QRadar on Cloud, Varonis DatAdvantage, and Service Now (SecOps) knowledge would be really advantageous.
- Knowledge of scripting Languages (e.g. Python, Bash scripting).
- Able to participate in complex vendor troubleshooting calls and diagnose/resolve tool and policy issues.
