Description
Marcus Donald are currently in the market for an Information Security Officer on behalf of one of our large Banking clients within central London. While working in this role you will be assisting in enforcing enterprise-wide information security policies and procedures. You will play a key part in managing the company’s security posture, developing IT security policies, and forming controls over the company’s information.
Information Security Officer– Key Responsibilities:
- Meticulously identify, introduce, and implement appropriate procedures and also test these on a regular basis.
- Identify, control, and report on incidents. Participate in security incident response activities and any technical investigation of security-related incidents.
- Manage and assist in performing ongoing security monitoring of information systems including assessing information security risk through qualitative risk analysis.
- Ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly
Information Security Officer– Knowledge Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of security policies, audits, governance, and risk compliance frameworks including industry and security best practices, for example, ISO27001 and CIS.
- Strong understanding of advanced threat detections
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Broad technical background in IT.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GDPR.
- Stakeholder management
Information Security Officer – Desirable Knowledge Requirements
- Good understanding of the key points of data protection
- Desired knowledge of networking technologies and technical security controls
Information Security Officer– Desired Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Comfortable interacting with a wide range of technical and non-technical members of an organisation.
- Confident working within a team and also individually.
- The ability to be detailed oriented when troubleshooting
