Marcus Donald are currently working with a leading company within the Insurance domain who are looking to onboard an Incident Response Manager to join their ever-expanding cyber security team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, and results-driven individual to further achieve their goals and develop themselves through the competitive industry. You will be managing a unique collaborative team of incident responders, business resumption engineers, and cybersecurity specialists whose sole responsibility it is to protect, recover, and mature the more than 50,000 Underwriting insurance policyholders. You will be joining a group of technical experts who tackle cyber threats day-in-day-out, at scale, for a myriad of clients ranging from small businesses with minimal in-house capabilities, right through to large complex corporations with a full stack. You will never be bored, you will always be learning, and you will have fun doing it.

They are offering the possibility to work remotely up to 2 days a week with the 3 remaining days from London (the City).

Responsibilities: Incident Response Manager

  • Leading a team of Cyber Security Specialists to effectively battle any incidents that may develop.
  • You will be rolling up your sleeves, leading forensic investigations, coordinating business resumption activities, and supporting victims of BECs, Ransomware, and DDoS attacks to name a few.
  • Supporting the buildup of the company’s Incident Response team from the ground up, helping recruit talent, and putting in place the required processes and technology to deliver incident response services.
  • Conducting regular reviews of IR services to identify new opportunities and drive a compelling and competitive cybersecurity proposition for policyholders.
  • Using excellent communicational skills and stakeholder management
  • Acting as the subject matter expert or technical team lead for organisations in cyber crisis and data breach situations, and providing technical response strategy and execution support to enable them to successfully resolve, remediate, and recover from cyber security incidents.

Skillset required: Incident Response Manager

  • 3+ years’ experience in a management/lead role within Cyber
  • Strong IT and network skills – knowledge of common enterprise technologies – Windows and Windows Active Directory, Linux, Cisco, etc.
  • Practical experience in responding to cyber incidents and performing forensic investigations.
  • Project management skills or experience, including broad attention to detail and superb problem solving.
  • Proven strong planning and organisational skills
  • A track record of building, and leading high-performing technical teams.

Location: City of London (close to Liverpool Street)
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000
