Cyber Security – Business Resumption Consultant

Marcus Donald are currently in the market for a Cyber Security - Business Resumption Consultant to join a Cyber Insurance firm based in Central London. The team you will be joining is managed and populated by very knowledgeable, accredited and experienced Cyber Security Specialists with a single mission of ensuring “business as usual” during unusual times.

You will work within a team who have the responsibility to ensure the organization’s ability to maintain essential functions during and after a disaster such as a Cyber Attack, has occurred.

You will be joining a unique and collaborative team of incident responders, business resumption engineers, and cybersecurity specialists whose sole responsibility it is to protect, recover, and mature the more than 50,000 Underwriting insurance policyholders. You will be joining a group of technical experts who tackle cyber threats day-in-day-out, at scale, for a myriad of clients ranging from small businesses with minimal in-house capabilities, right through to large complex corporations with a full-stack. Cyber Security - Business Resumption Consultant – Main Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality and efficient support and advice for Cyber incidents
• Perform preliminary analysis and triage for incidents and help to develop the team's technical capabilities.
• The role will be responsible for developing, embedding, and managing the IT Service Continuity operating processes, implementing the required mechanisms to improve incident identification, reduce incidents and recovery times and ultimately improve the stability and performance of IT services.
• Subject Matter Expert in IT Services and Systems offering recovery and resilience services such as VMware, Cloud technology's (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS)
• Experience using Business Continuity Management toolsets including incident notification, crisis management, risk assessment, and planning systems
• Responsible for supporting the design, delivery, and execution of solutions and services within the IT Disaster Recovery and Technology Resilience across all business areas and processes.
• Foster good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers, and drive excellent customer service.
• Work with the incident response, underwriting, and products team along with external vendors to develop and deliver a variety of risk management services, tools, and products.
• Support the preparation and delivery of client seminars about cyber incidents and handling.

Cyber Security - Business Resumption Consultant – Required:

• Able to deal with external customers and brokers in high-stress situations
• Capable of managing both the technical and non-technical aspects of dealing with cyber incidents and/or forensic investigations.
• Excellent communication skills and capable of learning how to credibly speak to clients and partners regarding cyber incidents.
• An eagerness to learn and understand cyber policy wordings. 
• A demonstrable interest in cyber/cybersecurity.
• An overall good understanding of the cyber landscape both in the UK and internationally 

Cyber Security - Business Resumption Consultant – Desirable:

• Previous experience or relevant education related to cybersecurity.
• General knowledge of the insurance industry
• Industry certifications in cybersecurity and/or incident response
