Description
We are now currently now in the market for an experienced SOC Analyst to join our clients illustrious Security Operations Centre team. An experienced and adaptive professional with a cyber security backround has the opportunity to become a more senior member of the team.
We are working exclusively with a client who are offering fantastic promotional pathways into management and team leads. Their exciting expansion projects that are in place, mean the successful candidate will provide core assistance in the development of the company as a whole. How exciting?
What better time to get involved - SOC Analyst:
- 5+ years minimum experience within working in a SOC or alike is a non-negotiable requirement for this role. The candidate must be able to read and understand system data produced by SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm for example).
- They will need to be able to apply their foundational knowledge from previous SOC experience to their new role and assist more junior members of the team.
- Understanding of network infrastructure, firewalls, switches.
- Threat detection and prevention skills are a must, our client is a mainstream financial organisation with extremely sensitive data that can be targeted at any given time.
- More specifically, the applicant must also have an understanding of Incident Response procedures, MDR, EDR, Threat Hunting and Cloud Security plus the ability coordinate event triage with our ‘Managed Security Services Provider’ (MSSP).
- Programming language skills including but not limited to Python and JavaScript is highly necessary.
Additionally, the candidate must possess and actively demonstrate some core skills within the workplace - SOC Analyst:
- A strong attention for detail and highly analytical perspective will aid in the role as missing key information could cause detrimental damage within the business.
- Ability to work well in a team is essential as the team size is relatively large meaning you will be working in close association with other members of the SOC and management team.
Personal development plans are a great indication of whether or not a candidate will thrive at the company as people with desire to succeed and progress within the corporation are ideal.
The benefit package is also a great bonus of the permanent role and will disclosed at a later stage of the process.
Salary - £55,000 - £65,000
