Description
Marcus Donald are currently working with a global E-commerce Education provider in North London who are looking for an IT Contract Manager to work within the UK IT Services Team. The successful recruit will ideally have experience in the below 3 fields:
- Legal - Aware of legalities around contracts. You DO NOT need to be a Legal expert as you will have full access to a large internal Legal team for any and all questions you may have.
- Contracts - Aware of contractual standards and have been frequently involved with contract negotiations with 3rd parties (clients & suppliers - big, small, local and global businesses)
- Tech knowledge (basic) - Aware of IT/Technical perimeters to ensure the contract agreements are feasible. Liaising and engaging with IT teams will be a regular responsibility.
You aren't required to be an expert in any of the above 3 fields, as similarly to having access to a Legal team, there is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for each pillar, who you will be working alongside, plus assistance and upskilling is provided by the separate Business and IT teams accordingly.
This is a full time permanent position with a company that offers incredible benefits alongside their newly revamped WFH structure which is now; 2 days in the office (in North London) and 3 days remote.
A good understanding of managing contracts, data protection law, IT Services & SLAs is required to advise the business. This stakeholder facing role requires you to establish and manage expectations within the business and externally in order to manage risk within the delivery of IT Services. We expect your capability in communication, stakeholder management, problem solving and deliver results will ensure you can:
- Manage vendors, clients and business stakeholders effectively, including relationship management, purchasing, service provisioning, licence and maintenance renewals, contracts and compliance
- Manage and deliver the IT Contract service to ensure suitable data and information security terms are in place with vendors and clients to protect business interests and meet obligations to SLA
- Manage Client Notification Process as required for new suppliers in order to ensure compliance with client contracts and data protection regulation
- Manage and maintain a Client and Supplier records
This role is suited to a pragmatic customer focused subject matter expert who is comfortable with managing the needs of the business with the requirements of clients and deliverables from suppliers. We expect you to have experience with:
- Completing, negotiating and agreeing internal and external security / data agreements with business stakeholders and partners, 3rd parties, suppliers.
- Understanding of UK and EU data protection laws & regulations (e.g. GDPR)
- Driving a Contract Management program to meet internal KPIs
- Experience managing client & supplier contracts, accounts and relationships
- Thorough understanding of contracts and experience working closely with IT, legal, business teams and clients & suppliers
- Relevant Qualifications and experience in IT, Supplier / account management or legal sector
