Information Security Officer

Marcus Donald are currently in the market for an Information Security Officer on behalf of one of our large Insurance clients. In this role you will work both internally as well as with external clients, building relationships to help the wider business operate successfully and securely. This position will play a key role in managing the companys security posture, developing IT security policies, and forming controls over the company’s information.

Key Responsibilities – Information Security Officer:

• Monitor threats and take preventive measures as needed
• Identify, control and report on incidents
• Creating, reviewing, and maintaining security policy, standards, and procedures

 Knowledge Requirements – Information Security Officer:

• Understanding of Information security and related principles
• Very good understanding of PCI-DSS, GDPR and other compliance and regulatory frameworks
• Have a strong understanding of advanced threat detections, continuous vulnerability assessment, response and mitigation strategies used in Cyber Security operations
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.

 Experience Required – Information Security Officer:

• 4 years’ experience in the Information Security field
• Significant experience working in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network deployment.

Skills Required – Information Security Officer:

• Strong eye for detail
• Great Communication skills, written and verbal.
• The ability to communication technical matters to non-technical people
