Description
Marcus Donald are currently looking to source a DevSecOps to join a financial organisation. The role is based in London however, there will be the availability to work from home at least 2-3 days per week.
You will be in charge of customer relationship management as well as issue and incident management on a continuous basis. You will be responsible for business solution implementations, security, and support.
To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- Proven track record of working in production-critical infrastructures and Cloud environments with a security focus.
- Extensive knowledge in AWS ecosystem including expertise with security, identity & access.
- Solid containerisation experience, specifically using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiar with Serverless technologies.
- Knowledgeable in network, firewall, and security best practices
- Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment, specifically Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Understanding of cloud monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with software development, cloud infrastructure, IT services, networking, and security.
- A commitment to scripting, particularly Python.
- Experience working within a DevSecOps, Cloud Security or SRE function, with a focus on availability, reliability, and automation.
The Key responsibilities – DevSecOps Engineer:
- Manage security backlog, delivery planning, and prioritisation.
- Oversee the management and correction of security flaws discovered in our development platforms.
- Provide knowledge and best practices for implementing cloud security (internal) and product security (external).
- Security-focused unit testing.
- Provide DevSecOps services with a focus on CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Content teams to develop new projects/products and determine the best way to deploy them.
Skills/ Requirements – DevSecOps Engineer:
- An excellent understanding of programming languages such as Ruby, Perl, Java, Python, and PHP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud and information security controls.
- Identity, security, and access management tools.
- Excellent knowledge of popular information libraries, security controls, and security vulnerabilities.
- Be excited about discovering and learning new tools and methods that can help to transform the Software Development Lifecycle.
Location - Central London, United Kingdom
Salary - £80,000 - £90,000 per annum
