Penetration Tester

The role best suits a meticulous and analytical individual who can take a coordinated approach to penetration testing, striving for results.

Technical Understandings – Penetration Tester

• Experience working within a red team environment.
• Must be CREST (CPIA, CRIA, CPSA) certified.
• Comprehensive knowledge with Penetration Testing tools such as nmap, Wireshark, John the Ripper.
• Security network devices (firewalls, switches, SIEM, Antivirus, cryptography, etc.) and other hardware/software tools.
• Awareness of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST and how they can be applied effectively within an enterprise

Essential Requirements – Penetration Tester

• Proficiency in scripting
• Comprehensive experience using SIEM tooling operation or administration (e.g. Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar)
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies.
• Experience carrying out Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus engagements.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people.
