Application Support Engineer

We are currently looking for an Application Support Engineer to work for very popular company in Wimbledon. Our client is an award-winning organisation that is looking for someone to join their team supporting a range of applications, therefore having excellent communication skills is essential.

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the support of application configuration, documentation, and user support. You will need to work closely with your colleagues in the IT Operations and Infrastructure teams, as well as liaising with 3rd party vendors providers and a variety of internal subject matter experts, stakeholders, and end users.

Primarily the role will have two main parts to begin with. It will involve owning, configuring, and supporting the businesses new SaaS software platform.

This is an exciting opportunity as the successful candidate will get to grow with this new business area and take ownership of the application as the business expands.

Essential skills for the Application Support Engineer:

• Apply expertise and technical knowledge to provide 2nd line support for operational applications
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, including remote installations
• Facilitate and administer change request process in line with business requirements
• Test, deliver and document application enhancements into the business
• Instinctive understanding of business applications
• Experience of software configuration & support
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Ownership of the configuration of operational applications, including virtual building configuration, report scheduling, workflows, user setup and documentation
• Work closely with 3rd party software vendors to ensure timely delivery of business solutions
• Ownership of business projects and smaller divisional software, including communication, timelines, and delivery schedules
