We at Marcus Donald currently have an excellent opening for an experienced, competent, and ambitious individual for a role in an ever-growing competitor within the financial sector. Our client is a well-established company within their given industry on a world-wide scale and this is an amazing opportunity for a SOC Manager to become a real asset and make their mark. The high-performing, success driven individual will lead the junior/mid-level staff to ensure the company’s Security Operations Centre maintains efficiency in all areas.

Technical Understandings: SOC Manager

  • In depth knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, ManageEngine)
  • Expansive understanding and experience in network security devices, firewalls, and IPS/IDS
  • Ability to read and understand system data, including, but not limited to, security event logs, system logs, and firewall logs.
  • Knowledge of risk management techniques taught by CSMP (Certified Security Management Professional) and the IRM (Institute of Risk Management)
  • Knowledge in sysadmin skills including Linux / Windows / Mac

 Essential Requirements: SOC Manager

  • You will be able to develops information security plans, strategy, and policy to support and align with organizational information security missions and initiatives
  • Generate contingency plans for realistic and damaging scenarios
  • General understanding of programming language (python, JavaScript, Java)
  • Responsible for regular liaison and engagement with company management teams
  • Engage with AWS and customer leadership teams on a regular basis
  • Solid experience in Security Operations Centre role
