Description
Marcus Donald are currently in the market for an Information Security Officer on behalf of one of our large Banking clients within central London. While working in this job you will be part of the team conducting risk analysis across different critical systems. The job role is a perfect match for someone who can work and manage both the technical side and the policy side of information security.
This is a fast-paced environment with constant shifting priorities so the successful candidate must be able to constantly adjust and be able to cope with the different priorities on a day-to-day basis. The client is looking for an Information Security Officer who will be able to constantly be able to identify global security risks and be able to formulate remediation plans to counter the risks.
 Information Security Officer - Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and managing the day-to-day information security management system (ISMS)
- Support in the direction and management of global security issues     Â
- Continuously identify, protect, detect, remediate, and recover from cybersecurity threats
- Use software such as firewalls and data encryption programs to protect against sensitiveinformation.
- Keep up to date with current global security trends within IT and recommend innovative solutions
- Troubleshoot network systems and respond to all technical emergencies
  Information Security Officer - Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the principles of risk management and information security management systems implementation
- High level familiarity with technical security concepts to assess risks and obtain assurance of controls internal and external experts.
- Experience of managing ISO27001 certifications and external audits
- Knowledge and Understanding of GDPR
- Knowledge of Public and Private Sector security requirements
- Internal audit qualifications and/or experience
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management
 Information Security Officer - Desirable Knowledge requirements:
- Good understanding of the key points of data protection
- Desired knowledge of networking technologies and technical security controls
 Information Security Officer - Desired Skills:
- Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Possess strong analytical and organizational skills to coordinate the implementation of technology initiatives.
- Ability to be detail-orientated when trouble shooting.
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills; for example, the ability to communicate technical information to non- technical audiences.
