Description

Marcus Donald are currently looking to source a Cloud Security to join a financial organisation. The position is based in London, but there will be a opportunity to work from home at least two to three days per week.

You will be in charge of the Cloud, Information and Data Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance models. You will also need to be familiar with security requirements for Public Cloud delivery systems, as well as managing and supporting other systems. On a regular basis, this role will be in charge of information control, vetting, security culture, and programming cloud security.

The Key responsibilities – Cloud Security:

  • Working alongside other departments to articulate the role security plays in Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Design, develop and build cloud security solutions for our environment
  • Provide advice on security implementation techniques 
  • Arrange and manage threat simulations and penetration tests to identify and detect possible risks
  • Evaluate environments for inherent and systematic vulnerabilities, methods of exploitation, and potential impacts
  • Helps in evaluating 3rd party integrations
  • Supports the team in responding to detected security incidents in the cloud environment.
  • Provide input into the SOC to ensure detection and response capabilities are optimised
  • Maintain awareness of innovative thinking, industry practice and governance around Information Security
  • Leading the client on best practice, within modern cloud engagements. Helping clients embrace the new cloud tech, in a safe way.
  • Strong IT solutions/infrastructure knowledge.
  • The ability to make appropriate everyday decisions, take charge of decisions, and exercise good judgement when escalating issues as required.
  • Promptly analyse client situations and tailor appropriate responses to fit them.

Skills/ Requirements – Cloud Security:

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud and information security controls.
  • A vast knowledge of data encryption and key management.
  • Identity, security, and access management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding DevOps, security consultancy for deployment programmes, or architecture analysis
