Description

My client is based in Central London and are a big financial company and is looking for a Penetration Tester who is innovative and able to find new ways to test the company’s security from potential weaknesses and exposures. Currently my client is offering a remote working situation but will be opening their offices in central London slowly, eventually allowing people to come back into the office for a few days a week.

You will have to be ongoingly up to date with the newest software’s and be able to identify threats and know how to tackle any possible breaches. The company is currently growing in a wide expanding market and it is crucial that their company’s weaknesses are fully identify and are minimized.  

Key responsibilities – Penetration Tester:

  • Writing reports and submit technical findings to client.
  • Use managing skills in planning, tracking, and reporting on project progress.
  • Determine the most efficient and effective testing methods to ensure quality of software solutions.
  • Detecting and tracking of defects in software.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to understand problem domain and express complexity in clear terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical skills – Penetration Tester:

  • Understanding of programming language including Python, Ruby, PHP, C, C#, and Java 
  • PCAP analysis, including extracting files and content from PCAPs, identifying gzipped content, and base64 detection  
  • Ability to monitor a range of security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS and firewalls 
  • Comprehensive experience using SIEM tooling operation or administration (e.g. Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar)  
  • High undersatding of different softwares sch as Microsfot, office 365 and Windows.

Essential skills – Penetration Tester

  • Ability to read and understand raw system data.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies.
  • Being innovative and be able to come up with different tests.
  • Ability to programme or script.

Desired skills – Penetration Tester

  • Previous penetration testing experience
  • Understanding of network protocols and common vulnerabilities associated with them.
  • Experience of implementation of cloud-based security monitoring skills.
