Marcus Donald are currently looking for a senior level Business Analyst to join a market leading transport and logistics client  within their expanding team and work on cutting edge web development projects.

We are looking for a Business Analyst that is willing to own the products/projects allocated to the specific development team. Helping drive/shape and recommend change to the future development of the products/projects in-line with the overall KPI’s of the business. You will be working with Senior Management to ascertain the future requirements to drive engagement with the overall platform.

Business Analyst - Key Responsibilities

• Working with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver any artefacts as needed.
• Functional Specification Documents, User stories (in BDD format) screen, interface designs and change requests.
• Act as the conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.
• Propose solutions to problems and considers timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs.
• Work with the development team and subject matter experts to ensure business and systems requirements are understood and effectively transitioned into robust technical designs.
• Plan and participate in system testing activity and facilitate UAT and system training.
• Provides guidance to others for the completion of support documentation, including user help documentation, guides and manuals and updates to the internal applications wiki.
• Manage and organise agile development sprints, which includes scheduling of resources.

Business Analyst - Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst covering the full project lifecycle
• Ability to plan and schedule development backlog into sprints in an Agile environment
• Experience of project management disciplines including waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Demonstrable experience in producing project plans and development roadmaps
• Demonstrable experience in facilitating agile ceremonies
• Ability to lead a development team in delivery of a project
• Analytical and process-based skills, ie process flow diagrams, business & process modelling, data analysis
• Proficient in MS Office (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, MS Project)
• Release Management – controlling deployments, coordinating with testers
