Description
Supplier Manager
Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Supplier Manager to join a growing tech company in Central London. You will act as the company’s lead into all aspects of managing our supplier base. The role aims to improve the supplier onboarding and lifecycle management, the quality of delivery from suppliers, to provide access to the best combination of quality, price and delivery, and to increase the overall value of the supplier spend.
Responsibilities for Supplier Manager:
The Supplier Manager role will focus on 3 key areas;
- Managing the on-boarding and lifecycle management of suppliers
- Risk Management of the pre-existing supplier base that supports delivery of our SaaS offering
- Control and management of operational performance and quality assurance for Critical Third Parties
As a Supplier Manager you will be responsible for partner performance optimisation programmes, identifying process improvement initiatives in strong collaboration with other business unit; developing and agreeing short- and mid-term actions to increase partner performance and tracking progress; setting up and running regular Partner Performance Reviews and managing escalation processes as needed.
Skills & Requirements for Supplier Manager:
- Experience in Vendor, Supplier, Contract Management or Procurement
- Strong commercial acumen with knowledge of contract performance in a multi-national / global business
- Strong experience of 3rd Party operational performance management
- Are an analytical, critical thinker with the ability to simplify processes and transactions
- A technology background and/or experience in similar fast paced industry
- Experience handling supplier escalations and seeing them through to resolution
- Knowledge of robust supplier onboarding processes
