Marcus Donald are currently recruiting for a Database Developer to join an Education client based in Central London. As a Database Developer you will be developing and enhancing software applications to facilitate the automated management and provision of information relating to the activities of the client.

As a Database Developer you will also be involved in developing and supporting data warehousing and intelligence reporting in conjunction with both internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring business requirements are met in the most efficient, yet effective manner possible whilst working in partnership with operational, functional, technical, infrastructure and architecture teams.

Key Skills

• Databases (specifically Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL DB / Data Warehouse)
• MSSQL, (T-SQL) Query, Design, Data Modelling
• ETL: SSIS / Azure Data Factory
• SSAS (Tabular & MDX)
• Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and Paginated Reports (SSRS)
• Expertise in Excel (Intermediate / Advanced (including VBA))
• Good understanding of Visual Studio

Nice to have

• Experience in use of version control techniques (Azure Dev Ops).
• Working across a mix of complex parallel developments with a personal track record of delivering solutions in partnership with a range of business and technical owners
• Excellent problem solving and innovation skills
• Knowledge of Azure Enterprise Gateway
• A passion for learning and continual, personal development
• Expertise in writing code including one of the following (.Net, Java, JSON, Web Applications)
• Experience in developing solutions using REST API’s
