Digital Workplace Engineer
Marcus Donald are now searching for a Digital Workplace Engineer to join a client based in Glasgow.
In this role you will engage with colleagues and ensure that you are enabling them to do their jobs productively. You will also be integral for end user computing, hardware, software, network systems as well as end user training and awareness.

Key Responsibilities as Digital Workplace Engineer
- Providing robust and scalable solutions in line with roadmaps as well as considering the project time, cost and quality targets
- Managing relations with all areas of business and user population to ensure deliverables are aligned with user expectations
- Guaranteeing the design of the Digital Workplace
- Provide guidance and recommendations for the definition of targets
- Contribute to the digital workplace strategy, roadmap and technical definition
- Informing employees on progress and advising on workarounds where necessary
- Supporting and maintaining end user services
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve level two issues and above in computer hardware and software
- Install and upgrade hardware, software, peripherals and provide complete assistance while hardware & software is being configured
- Monitor and analyse the performance of end user computing systems
- Take full ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical problems whilst ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements
- Understand and identify problems, analysing and helping to identify the appropriate solution
- Collate data and provide basic reporting, build your knowledge base, document cases and conduct retrospectives to learn from incidents
- Assists in technical support activities
- Carry out agreed and routine maintenance and admin tasks
- Understand users and can identify who they are and what their needs are based on evidence
- Translate user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs
- Plan, design, manage, execute and reports tests using appropriate tools and techniques and work within regulations
- Ensure risks associated with deployment are adequately understood and documented
