Description
Business Analyst
Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join a well-known education provider in Farringdon on a 12-18 months fixed term contract.
You will play a key role in supporting the Operations & Programmes team in their delivery of a high profile, commercially critical, business transformation programme. As well as have excellent relationship building skills, as they will be the glue that brings together and works across the programme workstreams, internal customers and technical teams.
Responsibilities required for Business Analyst:
- Requirements analysis: Analysing information provided by stakeholders to ensure that we have detailed and accurate business requirements, detailed functional and non-functional requirements and change requests. Ensure that there is end to end traceability of requirements. Gap analysis.
- Process analysis: Developing business processes – either new, or improvements to existing processes
- Fit for purpose solutions: Ensuring that requirements are transformed into solutions (e.g. operational applications) which are fit for purpose. Ensuring a continuous link between the technology teams, support teams, business units and any third party
- Testing: Support User Acceptance Testing and/or other business testing activities. This includes preparing test plans, engaging the support of testing resources from across the business, identification of dependencies and data required for testing, the design and execution of user acceptance test scenarios and test scripts, supplying end-user training material for UAT, all issues/bugs appropriately captured and resolved, final sign-off secured before release of any solutions to production.
- Change management support: Support the transition and successful embedding of solutions into a business as usual state by leading aspects of the change management process such as training, training materials, delivery of business processes and support documentation.
Skills required for Business Analyst:
- Experience of working on projects integrating systems
- Experience leading testing activity using a testing tool, e.g. TFS/ JIRA
- Development of standard and custom solutions, across the end to end project lifecycle.
- Substantial experience of requirement gathering, prioritisation, traceability, planning and facilitating the development of technology applications.
- Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes
- A personal track record of delivering solutions in partnership with a range of business and technical owners.
