Head of International IT/ CIO                                                                     

Marcus Donald are currently looking to recruit a Head of International IT/ CIO to join a Charity in Central London.

Job Purpose:

To support the Buisness by providing leadership to the International Charity IT team responsible for the deployment and management of technology solutions that exist for the purpose of enabling more mission.

Key responsibilities for Head of International IT/ CIO:

  • Develop key performance indicators to track the effectiveness and efficiency of IT services and projects within busines and regularly report on these to leadership (e.g. IT Council and IMC).
  • Architect IT services in line with the business' agreed strategies and technical principles.
  • Ensure a quality process for applications development and support for international applications.
  • Implementing end user training and support for key IT skills.
  • Procure IT equipment and services necessary to support mission activities through the development of relationships with technology partners and vendors to insure the best value for our financial resources.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.
  • Monitor and coordinate resources across all international IT projects and resolve conflicts, as necessary.

Office 365 Management:

  • To line manage the Office 365 Project Director, set project strategy and coordinate project activity to ensure fulfilment of key objectives and achievement of roll out targets on time and within budget.

International IT Council:

  • Monitor and follow up the action points developed at each IT Council meeting.
  • Prepare recommendations of the IT Council for submission to IMC for final approval.
  • Ensure all approved policies are posted and shared with territorial IT personnel.
  • To assist in development and implementation of international IT strategies and associated research work of the IT Council.

IHQ IT Responsibilities:

  • Provide personnel management for International IT staff, including hiring, appraisals, discipline, training, nurturing, and staff development.  This will require oversight of a team of 30-50 employees and contractors.
  • Establish an IHQ support team to ensure adequate training, support and resources are made available to IHQ personnel including the staff at ICO, ISJC and SALT College.

Other Duties:

  • To represent the International Business Administration Department at both internal and external international IT conferences as directed by the ISBA and make presentations at these events, as requested.
  • To undertake occasional international travel.
  • To undertake any other duties as directed by the ISBA
