Head of Delivery Management

Marcus Donald are currently seeking a Head of Delivery Management to join one of our clients within the Energy Sector, as a Head of Delivery Management leading, managing and developing a cross functional, high performing team, encouraging upskilling and innovation and ensuring effective communication across team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of key business area relationships.
  • Maintain a forward work plan of demand for DDaT services, driving forward an innovative delivery approach and ensuring it is keep up to date with the latest trends, standards and best practice.
  • Establish team feedback loops ensuring responsibility is taken for translation and measurement of value of the DDaT’s services and products related to the client's practical and the user needs.
  • Working with the Deputy Director and business leadership teams, provide broad insight to digital and technology domains and capabilities to support the business decisions.
  • Lead the development of the Business Analyst Community of Practice.

Key Deliverables

  • Execution and delivery of high-impact, strategic digital technology programs or initiatives in concert with other DDaT functional area leads
  • Prioritisation within DDaT with established strategic planning and governance principles and processes in place
  • Effective DDaT resource planning, sourcing and deployment to ensure an appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands
  • Demonstrable facilitation of collaboration and effective communication across DDaT functional groups and business units
  • Ownership and communication of the DDat Performance
  • Continuous improvement across digital delivery and design, that feeds into service definition and transition
  • Reviewed and consolidated IT business plans, budgets, forecasts and benefits.
  • Developed and managed strategic vendor and partnership relationships

Key Skills

  • Degree/Masters in relevant technical discipline and professional certification in portfolio management
  • Extensive experience in digital technology and business/industry managing multiple, large cross-functional teams and projects
  • Well-developed influencing skills with senior-level management and key stakeholders
  • Strong leadership capability and people management skills
  • Expertise in budget planning, financial management and resource management; strong business acumen and business planning skills
  • Broad knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies, technology directions and experience of strategic application to business needs
