Marcus Donald are now looking for a hands-on Security Architect to join an Oil & Energy company based in Canary Wharf.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring organisational security, privacy and resilience, while also protecting the UK National Infrastructure in compliance with regulations. You will set technical strategy and establish yourself as the design authority for all security aspects of business projects.

Key Skills as a Security Architect

• Strong knowledge of system architectures (Essential)
• Experience working within a data-rich environment
• Networking experience
• Azure
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• DevOps (Desirable)
• Big 4 Experience (Desirable)

Key Responsibilities as a Security Architect

• Advise on architecture improvements, technology evolutions or technical expertise requirements
• Lead, influence and drive the security agenda at a senior level
• Expert understanding of IT infrastructure and software development
• Having the capability to assess security requirements, identify threats and apply security concepts at a technical level
• Spot vulnerabilities in design, integrate new technologies securely and meet user needs while managing risks
• Managing stakeholder expectations in escalating situations, while simultaneously dealing with challenging technical issues
