Marcus Donald are currently seeking an Application Support Engineer for a Data Analytics company based in Reading.

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing operational support to the organisations full stack of Private Cloud, Public Cloud and SaaS Solutions. The successful candidate will be working with a range of technologies and will work alongside the Senior Director of Site Reliability.

Key Skills of the Application Support Engineer

• Web technologies e.g. JBoss / Tomcat
• AWS
• Linux
• Chef, Puppet or Ansible
• Python, Java, Ruby or PERL
• MySQL / SQL Server 2005-2012
• Networking – firewalls, load balancers, routing

Responsibilities for the Application Support Engineer

• Support Public and Private cloud environments
• Support web applications
• Manage the operations and stability of the environments
• Work with a range of technologies and resolve incidents

This role will give the opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies and resolve incidents that can span a wide breadth of technical challenges.
