Description

Marcus Donald is currently looking to source an experienced .Net Developer to be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle of products and services from initial scoping, through an Agile DevOps lifecycle.

This role is 99% WFH with a single-day commitment to come to the London office once per month.

 .Net Developer - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support technology products and digital services
  • Develop and maintain critical Product features
  • Develop online applications or websites
  • Ensure that all developed code is tested, workflow adhered to, and deployment activities are completed
  • Ensure deployment activities are streamlined and minimal errors are encountered
  • Adhere to Group Architecture and Agile DevOps SDLC workflow and processes
  • Support PaaS IaaS, or Public Cloud Environments

 .Net Developer - Technical:

  • Deep expertise in frameworks like (.NET, WCF) & experience in the software development lifecycle
  • Expertise in RESTful APIs using ASP.NET (.NET Core)
  • Experience of use version control techniques (GIT/VSTS)
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Networking, Storage and Microsoft systems
  • Good understanding of MS SQL and similar relational databases
  • Good understanding of MVC and other similar frameworks
  • Good understanding of front-end languages, frameworks, toolkits, libraries (for example: CSS2/3, HTML/5, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON & XML)

 .Net Developer - Desired:

  • Experience in using development tools Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Experience working within DBA area, with knowledge of MSSQL server databases
  • Experience in using Azure DevOps Pipelines (or similar – Team City/Octopus Deploy/Jenkins etc)
  • Experience in administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab or Jenkins
  • Experience with advanced front-end frameworks (Angular/React)
  • Experience working with container orchestration services like Kubernetes
  • Proactively work with Agile DevOps team through DevOps Lifecycle, ensuring Azure DevOps is kept updated

Your working relationships will be with Agile DevOps, Engineering Governance, Architecture and Support teams. With this being said, this role and therefore your career could progress in either of the two directions.

  1. DevOps Engineer – concentrating on implementing and executing DevOps Practices with team
  2. Engineering Governance Consultant – concentrating on applying Engineering Governance standards and best practices across Technology teams
