Infrastructure Manager

Marcus Donald are currently looking to identify an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join an established IT team within a large financial services provider (commercial bank) in the City of London.

A minimum of 8 years Infrastructure, System, Network administrator or support experience is required to be able to fulfil the responsibilities of this role.

The role will involve the management of all IT Infrastructure related aspects within the bank and experience with the following Applications will be highly advantageous: Siena, T24, Oracle, InteliMatch, Datastore, SWIFT

Infrastructure Manager - Skills Required:

• Hands-on systems, network, infrastructure, and applications support and administration.
• Assist and support the Head of IT with overall management of the IT function.
• Mentor and coach the Infrastructure team.
• Oversight of the Infrastructure team and functionalities ensuring the team meets each of its responsibilities.
• Manage the integration of systems, applications and platforms based on business requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes.
• Identifying and delivering continuous innovation and best practice solutions
• Deployment and maintenance of information security controls
• Coordinate penetration testing, IT audits, risk events, vulnerability management, Disaster recovery and Business Continuity tests.
• Comply with the FCA/PRA’s Individual Conduct Rules, as outlined below.
• Strong technical background across server/network/security and cloud technologies
• Experience defining strategies and implementing policies & IT change.
• Very good VMware and Citrix administration experience
• Windows and Linux Servers administration and support skills
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Experience in the following Applications – Siena, T24, Oracle, InteliMatch, Datastore, SWIFT, etc
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocol
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT
• operations best practices, including experience of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
• ISO 27001 experience is an advantage.
• Any Automation (RPA) platform experience (UiPath) is desirable.

Infrastructure Manager - Experience and Qualifications required:

• Degree level in IT or related field
• A minimum of 8 years Infrastructure, System, Network administrator or support experience
• Relevant certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, CoBIT5, Prince2, VMware and Citrix.
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in managing teams (ideally at first level capacity)
• Banking/Financial sector experience is an advantage.
